Forthcoming Report – Dublin Docklands Development Authority

The Comptroller and Auditor General was appointed auditor of the Dublin Docklands Development Authority (the Authority) and its subsidiaries beginning with the financial year 2010. The audit report on the Authority’s financial statements for that year was issued on 7 November 2011.

The Comptroller and Auditor General has also prepared a special report on the Authority. The purpose of this report is to give a fuller account of

  • the overall financial status and administration of the Authority
  • the management of its investment in the Irish Glass Bottle site
  • how its planning function is being administered.

The report was submitted to the Minister for the Environment, Community and Local Government on 5 March 2012. Under the provisions of the Comptroller and Auditor General (Amendment) Act 1993, the Minister is required to ensure that the report is presented to Dáil Éireann within three months of that date.
